Is it possible to talk about art in substance? This unsolvable task is posed by Stefan Prohorov with the presentation of the game-book “Art and the People (*and Who Are the People?)”. This is a text that summarizes the key contradictions in the contemporary art world. Between the analysis of the environment, the conditions for creating art, and the understanding of art as a concept of the sublime, the essay attempts to exclude non-constructive elements from the discussion about the relationship between the author and the audience. Those attending the presentation will have the opportunity to leave completely free from prejudices and unnecessary hesitations regarding art, aesthetics, creativity, and their connection to society.
Stefan Prohorov is a theater director and cultural manager. His artistic projects often address social issues and challenge stereotypes, prompting the audience to rethink positions and ideas. Stefan Prohorov was selected to participate in the Center for Social Vision by the Art – Works and Documents Foundation and Sofia Art Projects.
