“House” by NISHKA Collective (Mira Vladimirova and Inna Pavlova) is an invitation for different people to share their dreams. The new research-based project began a few months ago during the “Baba” residency by Ideas Factory in the villages of Pavolche and Koshava, where the artists invited local residents to recount their dreams. In parallel, they held similar gatherings several times in Sofia. In this way, the participants in the sharing sessions also became co-authors of the project, inspiring the artists to materialize and sonify the feeling of a collective, communal dream.
Emerging from the project’s initial research phase is a sound-sensory artistic installation, which will be presented at Swimming Pool as part of the Constitutions public program. House explores the possibilities of inclusion and belonging – through intimate, personal speech we often reach layers that are not public, yet they hint at the foundations of a community’s existence and the positions we choose to take within it.

Ideas Factory is a platform that creates bridges where they are lacking – between generations, disciplines, urban and rural areas, citizens and local authorities, “center” and “periphery.”
Mira Vladimirova-Yonder studied literature, theater, and acting in the UK. In 2021, she returned to Bulgaria as a freelance artist and coordinator of artistic and social projects.
Inna Pavlova is an artist who writes and illustrates children’s books. Her current focus is on art therapy and exploring the human soul through art.
Mira and Inna formed NISHKA Collective together with artists Ivo Nedyalkov and Atanas Sevov. Their previous projects include the interactive Installation of Forgetting and the exhibition The Flight – Portraits for Listening.
